Report: Turkey not to join anti-Russian sanctions

ANKARA, Mar 2 (PRIME) -- Turkey does not want to participate in sanctions against Russia, Turkey’s state news agency Anadolu Agency quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu as saying on Tuesday.

“We have not participated in such sanctions at all in principle. Nor do we have any desire to participate in these sanctions,” Cavusoglu said.

Several states across the globe, as well as the E.U. and the U.S., introduced strict economic and financial sanctions against the Russian government and state-affiliated companies and banks last week amid military escalation in Ukraine.
